Embedded support is a collaborative in-class partnership between Faculty and the Learning Commons with the goal of increasing student success and retention in gateway, high DFW, and corequisite courses. Embedded support has increased student participation while providing the opportunity to get personalized assistance from a specialist, tutor, or coach without leaving the classroom. Embedded support is ideal for active learning classrooms, group activities, or workshop days to ensure individualized support, engagement, and overall sense of community.
